Racing Sprint Hart CPi

Post by matt1981 »

im not to sure if this post belong's here but,i just wanted ask some thing's about these wheels.
the car was bought with 15inch Racing Sprint Hart CPi alloy's (apparently according to this web site
http://yhst-1408381693991.stores.yahoo. ... mrims.html
they are quite a rare wheel. this was the only place i could find any info on them at all.
well im not sure if i want to keep em or sell em, the only thing makeing me keep them is the fact i need em because i have no other wheels and they are rare ???.

if i did sell them i would have a complete factory refurb look done all 4 wheels and then go about getting the centre caps for them (they took me ages to find but i have found them at 80quid a set.
so my questions are if i have all the above done to make them new again. what kind of cash should i be thinking of asking for them.

but if i keep em i just wanted to ask some peoples opinion about haveing red wheel's on the 2. me personaly hhmm im not to sure, are they worth keeping.

With centre caps included and with the wheels refurbed, i don't think £400 is unreasonable for a starting price - maybe you can get more - who knows - they are only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for them after all.

Personally i don't think they work too well on a black car they would look great on a white MR2 though! - but that's just me.

Are they genuine? It should have HART stamped in the back of the bit that bolts to the hub if so. The reason I ask is the lettering on the rim doesn't line up, so looks like they're decals stuck on top. Sprint hart wheels have the lettering painted on instead. Unless these have been refurbed and the original lettering was lost? Either that or they're dressed up Rota's?

If they are genuine, then sprint hart wheels in good condition can fetch a lot of money, the US go nuts for them. For example my sprint hart CP-R's seem to go for $1500 2nd hand!

EDIT:

Just realised that the picture was lifted from that website. But you can still find out if they're genuine or not by looking for the HART lettering on the back. :th:

Well if it helps, I recently got a quote to fully refurb mine from TheWheelSpecialist for £320, gloss middle and polished lip. It's a lot of money only to sell them on for £400 though, so I suggest you get asking on some US forums to see what they'll pay and then see if they'll even be worth refurbing or simply selling them on as they are.
