Are Rev 3 alloy wheels factory painted?

Are rev 3 alloy wheels painted from the factory or are they polished metal?

I'm going to refurb my alloys but they don't look painted. Is it possible to polish the metal, paint the recesses, then lacquer the wheel to protect the bare metal and the paint?

painted or in the case of rev4 diamond cut alloys painted and laquered over machine cut faces.

My Rev 4 are finshed in anthracite, i think there standard? Wish they were silver tho
