I agree with Jay, I don't think you're going to have much joy with vinyl on those.
A paint refurb shouldn't cost much more than £50 per corner, but you could always try plasti dip yourself, to play around with colours. At least it peels off, and is relatively cheap
+1 on the plastidip, relatively cheap and the results (from what I've seen on wheels) comes out well, can refurb yourself that way too. There's a guy over on ROC that's just done his, minging colour, but the result was pretty admirable from what I can see!
The place I've used before is down in Basingstoke and I think that was about £60 a corner. However I'd want to chrome up the lip and use a gloss colour in the centre, which would put up the cost of any refurb. Maybe I should go on the hunt for a set of split rims instead... or maybe I'll go off the idea and keep the TE37s?
Wow, my pic-whoring skills must be waning if you actually had to ask...

The answer to which is "Freaking AWESOME"
However they're still the wheels I bought the car with 5 1/2 years ago, so it's still kind-of "Flamby's car" for that reason. They're difficult wheels to beat, but I keep on thinking about making a change simply because the car is so recognisable from the previous owner... the car's had the same wheels since August 2005!
This is why I've not changed them yet! But sometimes a change of style isn't the end of the world. I'm unlikely to sell the Volks so could always swap back
parker455 wrote:Ah yes I remember it! How about just a colour change? I'm a fan of black wheels..
TBH, I have a specific colour combination in mind... given the MR2 is a second car (and a toy at that) I'm tempted to go brighter, bolder and a bit more marmite
Doesn't tell me the model, but it does tell me that the 16x8 version of the wheel only weighs 6.2kg which is pretty respectable. (Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 16x7J are 7.4kg)
The wheels shinny posted are a long discontinued offering, not from any current range.
They are definitely Linea Sport by Crimson Inc but which specific model is something else.
Linea Sports came in a bewildering variety of styles.
Thanks for the photos Tony... they give a better impression of the depth of the rim, especially this one:
I'm starting to think these rims might be good after a refurb... although I'd still need to win them on eBay!

When you say "long discontinued", are you thinking late 90s? Early 90s? 80s!?
