New member, really need 17” wheel help!!

Post by flyty81 »

Hi Guys,

Recently purchased a MR2 MK3 pre face life model and the OEM wheels are a right state.

Just purchased these from eBay that came off of a GT86.......

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre ... 2872587407

firstly, will they fit? And secondly, what would be the recommended tyre size?
I know there are many posts about sizing, but tbh it all really confuses me, as I am new to this.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Hi there,

My first question is regarding the number of wheels you have bought. That advert appears to be selling a pair rather than all 4.

The offset I believe will be +45 but your bigger problem is that the wheels are 5x100 bolt pattern whereas the MR2 Roadster (MK3) is 4x100

So, unfortunately these won't fit on your car

Thanks for your help guys, I have contacted the seller who has cancelled the order!

You just saved me £150.

Looks like I’ll be getting the originals refurbished after all!!!
