MK3 aftermarket wheels
Is there a list of aftermarket wheels ( even from other manufacturers) that would fit on a MK3 ?
I can’t afford new so something 16” would be ideal

Re: MK3 aftermarket wheels
I don't know of a list that exists and it would be huge if it did.
However you will easily find some after market wheels for the MK3 as they share a very common stud PCD of 4 x 100
Things to keep in mind though are that the centre bores are 54.1mm or greater (you can get spigot rings if they are larger) and that the ET is around 40 (if they are larger or smaller they can rub the arches or catch on the brake calipers.
In a nutshell you want - 4 x 100, 54.1mm + Centre Bore and 6J with with ET 40.

Thanks,
I guess eBay will be a challenge to find suitable wheels, I will try though.. is there anyone you can recommend for second hand ones that are a fair price please?

Re: MK3 aftermarket wheels
Depending on the year the car would have come with either
Before 2003
Tyres: 185 x 55 x 15 Front. 205 x 50 x 15 Rear
Size: 15 x 6J front 15 x 6.5J rear
PCD: 4 x 100mm
Offset: 45mm
Centre Bore: 54.1mm
After 2003
Front
Tyres 185/55/15
Width 15″ x 6″
Offset = et45
PCD = 4 x 100
Rear
Tyres 215/45/16
Width 16″ x 7″
Offset = et45
PCD = 4 x 100
You can fit 16's all round but for best handling it would be wise to maintain the front-rear stagger
What's wrong with the existing wheels ? If they are standard MK3 alloys then you could get them refurbished, blasting/ powder coating costs £40/50 per wheel and looks great, it's well worth it IMO this was mine about 8 years ago and they still look pretty much the same

Re: MK3 aftermarket wheels
I asked about refurbs near me and it’s more like £100 a wheel! That’s the cost of a new set

Re: MK3 aftermarket wheels
Where are you located ? perhaps we know of somewhere cheaper, I know Jeff is looking at getting his wheels powder coated and I'm sure the price is not even close to £100 per wheel.
A quick Google search found a place near me at £40 +VAT per wheel

This one is relatively close (50 miles) https://www.citywheelrefurbishment.co.uk/ bare wheels £20 each, with tyres £30
