New rims/tires - will this fit?

Post by adenbakker »

I'm planning a new set of wheels for my Rev 2 and looking at JR5's in sizes 17 x 7.5J front and 17 x 8.5J rear, both ET35. Tires would be 215/40 and 235/40 (or35?). Supplier does not want to comment if these combinations would fit, so too much of a gamble to take the plunge immediately.
Anyone have any experience with these sizes? Would they fit? Spacer(s) needed?
Thanks for any help,
Andrew

I had the same predicament when trying to size rims. I wanted to go for Rota grids 17" x 7.5" ET45 front, 17" x 9" ET42 rears. Mine would require a 10mm front spacer. This would make both of the rims around 6mm tucked in from flush according to that calculator, but for the life of me I couldn't find out how 6mm tucked looked.

Let me know if you go for them as I'd like to see how they fit.

^ I'd go for 40 profile as well.
