We both went down Santa Pod last weekend 31012010 to give our cars some much needed thrashing after all the crap weather we had recently. Weather was brilliant aswell Dry and cold so perfect for those 1/4 mile times.

There were a fair few cars down there but i must say majority was won by the MR2
not sure if any of them are from here if you are it was nice to meet some other MR2 owners.

My best time of the day was a 13.9 wihch i was very pleased with seeing as mods are minimal on my tubby, and Jonnys best was a 16.6 (correct me if im wrong mate) which again was good for a FE engine.

We were also able to take advantage of there passenger runs which they are doing now. So i managed to have a passenger to film a few races (although it cost me a second or so)

Favourite moment of the day had to be when we beat an Audi RS6 with some rich snob driving it. he wasnt happy at all

What spec is your tubby? 13.9 sounds good to me.. I ran a 13.8 at JapShow Finale but despite running about 1.15bar boost I think my launches utterly sucked!

haha , was a mint day , im glad i beat my last time which was a 16.9 i think , not bad for an FE in my opinion

Its a rev 2 tubby. mongoose exzaust, tb dev decat/downpipe, hks filter + bov, blitz ebc running 1.05 bar boost and thats it. To be honest i was still struggling to keep wheel spin under control going into to second on the day so nudged boost down a tad. its got all interior and not stripped too.

i was really chuffed as my aim for the day was to try and get into the 13s which i thought would be a bit unrealistic.

Yea would be nice to get a few more oc members down to another RWYB day. Maybe we can choose a date and get one organised if there is enough interest?
