Don't bother, I have gone through two differnt 'cheap' units like this. Besides, when they were working the menu system is poor and incredibly difficult to use. Save up and get yourself a nice one imo.

I just got this very one, it works brilliantly at the moment, it runs wince in English too, you can plug in usb keyboards mice etc and memory keys, ive got a 4gb sd card for music and a 8gb one for gps software, i cant get the os on the unit to play music of the sd card with the gps unless i go into wince and use media player no biggie, the memory card reader works fine too im using a 4gb one and can access it fine, also got a psone linked in too :D the standard analog tv reception is crap i didnt go for the digital option i expect this is just a different aerial as theres a socket for it, the wifi option is just a usb dongle as long as it works with wince it will be fine so you can probably find one cheaper than the 50 bucks they want. Also get it from this link

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Car-PC-DVD-Player ... 2c51232810

its cheaper and who i got it from, about aweek to deliver too :)

Hope this helps

ill try and post some pics if i can

Looks good did you get the camera with yours? will wait for your pics and see what it looks like inplace as to build a carputer I'm looking at £120 for a screen then poss £200 for a basic pc but the advantage would be haveing a proper HDD with loads of starage and the option to run any software I like.

Do you know what software it has for the sat nav?

Thanks

I use tomtom for the satnav, i have igo8 and route 66 as well so i can probably send you these on a disc or something, how do i post pics? I went down the pc route, costs alot by the time you get a decent front end like centrafuse, and theres not much decent nav software for pc's, yeh i got the camera, is ok, gets interference though, my sister has a digi sender so when im there i can pick up what there watching on tv when im reversing, the guy that i posted a link to is a nice guy, i asked him if he could do me a deal with the wifi and no camera, he did the wifi for an extra 20$ and still sent the camera too, his names Anson Chang, ive sent loads of people to him from ebay cos i keep getting messages about it

as soon as i can work out how to post pics i'll get em up

I host all my pics on photobucket then paste in the IMG code

as for the unit you have it looks good for the price got to say I luv what you can do with centrafuse & Road Runner software and th be honest I know a few folk who might be able to get me a copy of the Front end.

Good point about the wireless camera hadn't thought about other digisenders and the like so if i go with any camera options it will be hard wired :)

i have to say im a total geek lol and that unit really does tickle me hmmmmmm Them pics look pretty good. Just a lil tip tho may apply to that unit. When rackmounting stuff thats not uk C.E approved id suggest mounting some kind of rubber washer between the unit and screws. From experience in my trade chinese/taiwan etc electrical equipment isnt the best when comes to vibrations. Just a lil tip!! ive installed laser systems where the fans vibrating have actually aused a dry joint on the pcb lol cheeeeap

The pics look great & like the Toyota logo you have set very stock :-)

How long do you find the boot up to take?
Can it multitask? e.g. play the radio or CD while useing the Sat Nav?

Thanks
