Apexi computer thing in my new car

Post by griffo4 »

Hey guys, i pick up my first ever Mr2 mk2 on monday, just one question:
It has a small black rev/speedo lcd thing inside by gear stick. It has Apexi on it but i dont know what it does, the previous owner said it is a computer.
Can anyone shed some light on what it does? I can take pics of it on monday but until then just wanna know what it does. Thanks in advance!

Griff

they bascially are wired into the ecu harness and give you a digital reading for revs speed also have stop clock etc on them so u can use them for acurate 0 60 as the clock starts when u start moving and stops when u reach 60 so no human time delay on clickin the stop button etc lol

should have got a blackberry :laughing

no worries bud, i wouldnt scrap the rsm so quick, iv one fitted to my 2 and its a good bit of kit, main feature being the speed cut over the factory limit (if your cars an import) but all the other bits are just as good :th:

1/4 mile and 0-60mph timers interesting to say the least ;)

p.s thats not quite 0-60, more like 6-60 :laughing

Thats actually pretty cool, could have abit of fun with that. My car is rev 5 uk spec, full stainless and induction kit, n/a so might get some good times (0-60). Will keep you updated!
