wheel choice driving me nuts
I have Tracer gunmetal alloys on my Rev 4 ,96 import. I dont like them. I looked up Tracers and found they are a German manufactured wheel and wow are they expensive like £800 a set but I still dont like them. I've polished them and look at them and I think.. naaahhh. And I dont know why they are on my jap import , from what I can gather they are mainly for european performance cars. So I opened a can of worms by trying to find wheels I want. Pleeease help.
I know Ive been told its all down to personal choice, but the choice is huge. Like I dont want to rat my car too much.
So I had a look and liked the Kei racing Daito and the Force in hypersilver. Then I found this site Wheelbase.com and love the Zitos and Arcasting K11. which also come with a free set of Mc gard locking nuts.
Then I found the Decorsa CO30's chrome alloys (maybe a bit o.t.t for my model).
OOhhh and then theres the DOTZ predator.
OMG its worse than being in a shoe shop.
What are your opinions on wheels for my model.
There is nothing wrong with my Tracers but I just dont like them.
By the way they are 17 inch and my car is red.
Yes colour is important. Coz I think shiny wheels will look goood with the red.
Thanks.

Hi mate,
I'd have put this in MR2 discussion rather than general banter - likely to get more answers that way.
Take a look at this thread:

It's where we all post up our wheels so you might get a better idea from there.

Re: wheel choice driving me nuts
when we looked at your car the other day, there was a few of us that commented on how nice your wheels went with the car. Its all down to personal preference really, when i bought mine i looked through the show & shine and wheels & tyres forums at all the pics to get a feel for what i liked. It took me months to see a set i really liked but when i did i just had to have them and im sure you will be the same. Not sure if you know about wheel sizes and things so If you havnt found a set by this months marlborough meet we can talk then if you like

Well as mine is red too, here are a couple of options for you. You decide.dump hiss wrote:Yes colour is important. Coz I think shiny wheels will look goood with the red.
Then (shiny)
Now (not shiny)
