The Japanese Auto Extravaganza (JAE) is the ultimate Japanese car club event for the keen owner, enthusiast and enthusiastic amateur.

Over the course of a weekend it is the place for like minded owners and traders to meet up and enjoy what is the popular Japanese car culture, it has been previously quoted as "the perfect way to business"

JAE began as a meeting of Datsun Z club members as far back as 1991 and with the growing interest in Japanese cars as both classics and modern super cars since that time, it has grown to the largest gathering of Japanese vehicles of all types in Europe and continues to grow steadily without forgetting its roots.

With everything from 60's (and earlier) classic / retro machines to the latest electronically controlled supercars, the show WILL have for everyone throughout the weekend!

How to get there

JAE 2011 is back at Wicksteed Park, Northamptonshire for the THIRD YEAR

The Park's beginnings can be traced back to 1913 when Charles Wicksteed purchased a tract of Northamptonshire meadowland near Kettering with the intention of developing a model village. He wanted to create an open space and safe parkland for local families - many of these families lived in homes with no gardens - which forced their children to play in the street.

Over the last number of years Wicksteed Park has become increasingly popular with visitors for the diverse range of events that are staged on the site.

Just to give people a quick over view of what happens over the course of the weekend.

Friday :
An early start for alot of you , as people meet up to convoy to wicksteed park.
On arrival you will be directed towards the MR2OC stand , where you will also be directed to a parking space.
Most people then unpacked , and put up there tents , the tent area is on the Stand , behind the Marquee.
Then maybe a quick clean of the car .
By now you will be hungry and thristy , so lunch and crack open the beers.
You can guess how the rest of friday goes , with meeting lots of great people , cooking some food on our bbq , and lots more drinking.

Saturday:
Hopefully not feeling to rough , as some of you will be needed , for the footy team ,TOW team , and its a knock-out team , as the games start around 10am , and continue most of the day.
For all of you that are not involved , we hope you will supporting the OC in these events.
Most people also have a walk about during saturday to see everything .
JAE is big , and it is really hard to get to see everything.
The beers start flowing again at some point in the afternoon.
Saturday evening starts with some more social bbq-ing.
Then this year the will be a live Auction (should be fun) anyone will be able to sell or buy anything they bring with them , even stuff you cant , more info to follow.
Then its the awards from the JAE team , which is held in the main hall.
The skies are then lit up with a fireworks display .
Back to the OC , for music ,beer and a good time.

Sunday:

Is the tidy up day , and prepair for the homeward trip.

IN regards to whats on and when , i will be posting up more details soon.
