X REG MR 2 TYRES

Post by bigmel »

Hi all

I know i,ve asked this before but last time the mr 2 passed its mot with the tyres , but i really need a new set now , there legal but ageing badly . I can,t find my old post either , sorry .

Firstly can anyone confirm the tyres on it are correct ...

rears ....205 / 50 / 15" 85 v

fronts ....185 / 55 / 15" 81 v

Theres bridgestones perhaps the originals ?

I was hopeing to get them from the local ATS centre , i,ve just looked on there site and its a minefield , they start from £39.00 up to £170 each

Any recomendations on which make type etc ... I don,t want ultra cheapo,s but don,t want to pay for top class tyres for what is just a run about .

I live in Warrington Cheshire .

Thanks all

Can't help you with MK3 tyre advice I'm afraid, but I can recommend Jeffreys Performance Tyres in Latchford, just next to the swing bridge :th:

Yeah, if you give 'em a call you can book a time for fitting etc.

I went there for some Toyo T1Rs for my old Mazda and they recommended Vredestein Sportrac3s. I went with the Vredesteins and they were amazing. So much better than the Toyos :th:
