Co Down Mountains Run - Sun 22 July 2012

Post by spanky »

Hey guys and gals

Another meet for you to have a go at. This time I have plotted a route down the Ards Penn., across on the ferry to Strangford and through the Mourne mountains.

The drive will start at Forestside, Belfast and end at Sprucefield, Lisburn.

Google maps route

I have basically picked the date to be rougly one month after the coast run. If there is a good reason that someone knows for not having it on this day (large event along the route) let me know.

As always, if you want to go just copy and paste the list and add your name .......

Cheers

Should be ok for this. Watch out for a Fermanagh Drive post coming up!

Has anyone taken a lowered MR2 over on the ferry? I'm not sure if I'd get on without scuffing something. Was in Portaferry on Sunday and decided not to take the MX5 across! :confused1:

Car on axle stands at the minute. Finally got round to fitting grooved discs and redstuff pads to the back only to find that one caliper won't rewind. New caliper being lifted tomorrow. Also trying to replace the worn out bush but can't get a second hand rear track rod arm at the minute! Will try and make it.

Seems to be a common issue. Mine is in with ECC currently awaiting a new front drivers side caliper (I'm a numpty when it comes to working on brakes so always leave it in). I should be getting it back this pm but no confirmation yet.

Re: track rod arm - drop Ricky2 a PM, he has a set of suspension arms that I didn't need. He was planning on using them to make a complete bush change easier but I dont think he has started yet. I also wouldn't be 100% the arm you need is in there but you could have it tonight or tomorrow. Text me if you want his moby number :th:
