If you offer a bit of petrol money or similar then someone might make the trip for you. That said, gearboxes tend to be a fairly specialist item with some mechanics deferring to experts.
As a first port of call, if you dont want to take the car to a workshop, I would suggest a detailed description in the MK2 section on here. If you do want to take it to a workshop and dont mind a bit of a trek, I would suggest East Coast Customs in Lisburn or Elite in Armagh City

Re: 2013 events
I've wrecked several gearboxes over the years so I know when its a bearing, synchromesh, differential problem. Why don't you post a thread in the tech section describing the problem and you'll get help. Have a search in the tech section first as you may find someone with similar problems.

Spanky - have you sold the MR2? What's this Honda thing you've bought?
Dyno day would be good - just had my Celica GT dyno'd at East Coast Customs but I wouldn't want to embarass any Honda owners by saying what it got! Lap of Lough Neagh sounds good - I've been thinking about that one. Was at Oxford Island on Sunday. Nice weather, no flies!

Nothing too exciting to report on the Honda, it's the daily driver I've had for last couple of years .... Civic 2.2. I'm dropping it into ECC for some work soon and I might get them to dyno it (obviously not!!)
Post up your plot for the GT - dont be shy
