You could say that - see the pic I posted on page 6 of Vinny's car...

I know exacty what you mean. Car parks are the worst for this. On Tuesday some oxygen thief scraped the back of the rear wheel arch on mine. There is no way they wouldn't have ben aware that contact had been made.

I'll bring a 8-pack of AAA batteries with me.

Other than the clutch judder when pulling off the car is ready, just needs a good wash, polish and wax. Oh and maybe an MOT  Haven't even began to look at the Toms for a refurb yet as I need £150-ish just for new bolts so I'll leave the bling bling gold Enkeis on. I'm just shy of doing 20k in this car and the highland drive will be around the time I bought this '2 last year so fingers crossed it stays together!

My co-pilot has moved to Bournemouth but he assures me he hasn't forgotten about the drive and will travel up Wednesday. The Midlands convoy is too far west for us to meet up first thing in the morning so we'll just aim to meet you guys at Dumbarton around 6pm.

The GF is not too happy about me burning through £400 in petrol over a weekend when she wants to book a holiday, but hey ho!

Hope you were touching some wood when you did that Pete ....

.................. not not YOUR wood, I said some wood :bleh:

For info I have printed the information packs for everyone along with copies of the routes for each day. I will bring them along and let everyone have a copy if they want one.

Looks like we may have picked the wrong week.

Those who were on the 2009 event may remember meeting some fellow petrolheads at Kylesku. Well they were up in the Highlands recently. Not much sun, but no rain either.
A couple of the cars may ring a bell.

10am Thursday morning last year I was at the garage with the exhaust in bits. At 1230 we had just put the exhaust back on, bolted it up, lowered it off the ramps and we set straight off from Manchester heading for a meet point we didn't think we'd make :D

Next year..... Next year :D
