Hi there bud :th:

Technically you have missed the boat however there is a solution ;)

I have 2 remaining stand passes that are up for grabs (I did have 5 but 3 are provisionally spoken for)....

If you buy a weekend ticket from Santa Pod, you can collect a stand pass from me on the Saturday. Unfortunately, this is the only way I can really do it though as trying to get passes to people on the Sunday morning is almost impossible as the show is being set up first thing.

If you want a stand pass, let me know and I'll hold on to one of the last 2 for you :th:
Thanks :yahoo: iv private messaged you :D

OK, I've updated the list with an additional list of spare stand passes. There are a couple free for people who want to buy their own ticket for the weekend.

I'm limiting this to people who can make all weekend for a reason. This means that people can collect them from me on the Saturday to get on the stand on Sunday :th:

One quick question, and probably one for JimGTS, am I going to need to bring my helmet to run up the strip? I've no idea what terminal speed I'm going to be running in the turbo and I'm probably running similar power.

Err on the safe side and bring it anyway?

Rules may have changed last time I read them, but it did say a helmet was needed if running over 110mph terminals. A bolt on gen3 won't quite get there.
Having said that I was running well over that on my old car with no helmet and no one at the track ever flagged it with me, so I don't think it's that well inforced to be honest on a rwyb. A show however maybe different.
I think 120 terminals they would start to flag it at a pure guess, as at that point the car is more likely to sound and look (tyres etc) pretty dam fast.

No harm in taking it though.

I don't think I'll be running anywhere near 120 terminals on my engine! The V6 with 206bhp and 230 ish ft/lb was running at about 98mph terminals, but that was with the turbo box and slightly mismatched for strip times. This is err.... A bit quicker! Private road testing on an airstrip has seen me over 100mph (clocks) after what I would guess is 400m, but no timing stuff etc. Still practising my launches as I'm hoping for low 13's.

Cheers Jim :th:

Original Stiggy Bin lid it is on the passenger seat. ;)

The speedometer app on my phone has a 0-60 timer and 1/4 mile timer, so I tested out the 1/4 timer yesterday. With a very soft launch and backing off about half a second or so before hitting the 1/4 mark, I managed 16s. No idea how accurate the app is though. Will be fun to see what an NA can achieve.

Though I didn't make today, it was great catching up with owners on the Saturday.
I was there quite early and queued most of the day so had a few runs up the strip.

Super happy given the crazy hot weather on the Saturday to put in a few 12.9s 1/4s and my best ever a 12.85 at 107mph.

Really is all in the launch.

Did anyone run today? I spoke to most on Saturday and we was all sharing tips.

There was a few guys running today Jim :th: Not many though

Thanks to everyone who turned up both from the old Guard and new friends alike. Was great we managed to snag a few new random owners and hope we made them feel welcome.

It's great to see this show picking up again. The numbers are starting to get close to the heyday. I've not seen the camping field that rammed in years. Such a great sight to see.

Thanks to you all for such a good relaxing weekend. I really needed to just kick back with no distractions. Feel nice and calm for the first time in months....

And to top it all off, I have absolutely no temptation to reach for either a cigarette or a vape stick..... By George, I think I've cracked it :yh:
