If you're not living life on the edge, you're taking up too much room!

Sorry Gareth I'm not going to be able to come, I've had a bit of a dramatic day at work today and I've got to go to work tomorrow. Sad times

Re: MR2 Summer Special @ The Empire Diner Sunday 23rd July
Cracking set of pic's (and cars) looks like it was a good day out
Re: MR2 Summer Special @ The Empire Diner Sunday 23rd July
It was indeed!
A very respectable turnout considering we arrived to this at 1pm
Good food, bit of a natter and I think everyone had a good day out
Well done to Gazza for organising and allowing the MR2ROC to tag along

You must have brought it with you. It was dry when I got there around 10 minutes earlier...
The journey home was something else. Visibility down to 50 yards at times and standing water everywhere. Aquaplaned twice at <40 mph. Defintely need to get the front tyres replaced asap!
It was as if someody was emptying a bucket over Essex.
The cloud was so low over the river the top of the bridge and electricity pylons at Dartford were lost in the murk. A mile later and it was like being in a different world. Nothing more than a light drizzle. I barely even noticed it walking from the car to my front door.
Good mix of new faces, the usual suspects, and a rare species (Jez & Sookie).

The rain was indeed biblical. I was very glad of my newish front tyres.TonyleFrog wrote: ↑24/07/17 20:23 The journey home was something else. Visibility down to 50 yards at times and standing water everywhere. Aquaplaned twice at <40 mph. Defintely need to get the front tyres replaced asap!
