Re: Popping in a camry v6
If anything’s a barge of a car it’s my mr2 murcielago.
This thing is 5 meters long and 7 feet wide plus weighs just under 2 tonnes.
There’s a lot of fibreglass and steel there so the poor little 2 litre turbo is abit under powered.
I mean it’s ok but won’t blow much away.
So a V6 is surly a point in the right direction.
Photo below of my tank. LOL
Ps. According to research she’s the best Murcielago kit car to date but will be even better with that V6.

It’s not a wanted ad. Just a comment. A V6 mr2 is rocking horse ...
So now I’ve got to find one.

Re: Popping in a camry v6
Owww we were just starting to have some much fun. Anyway like you said the V6 is like looking for donkey "censored".
Personally I would take the option given to you to sit in the passenger seat of one, thats what Paul Walker did.
But seriously you need to get in one to see if its worth the effort. The price you quoted for the conversion is MORE than my whole car cost me 20 years ago or my Subaru legacy 3.0R.

Re: Popping in a camry v6
"V6 swap kits" do exist, they reasonably regularly pop up on FB (and on two brutal). Depends if you want someone to do the conversion for you or if you want to do it yourself.
I spent more on the v6 conversion than on the purchase price of the car, and it's definitely worth it. Totally transforms the car.

Re: Popping in a camry v6
Ok guys let’s bring this topic back in track.
I think I’ve finally found a mr2 V6 donor all ready to go.
So! The donor is a L reg NA fitted with a Camry V6. It has a woodsport modified gearbox with the long 5th gear fitted.
It even has working air conditioning fitted which my lambo kit car does not have yet.
I have spoken to Paul at woodsport about this project and he’s quite confident about it.
I plan to swap everything from the donor. Engine, gearbox, subframe, driveshafts. Everything to include the aircon.
My question is. Will the subframe and all the extra suspension parts be simple to swap from the L reg NA on to my rev 1 turbo chassis?
