Wouldn't put anything other than a genuine OEM Denso one in mine. Probably the hardest part is buying a genuine pump even the Whining Walbro ones have fakes out there in the market. Its quite a major job job to replace it so you only want to be doing it once. The labour charge can far outweigh the cost of the pump or your time to replace it a second time.

My O2 sensors and a spare pump came from sparkplugs.com.

https://www.sparkplugs.com/product.aspx?zpid=13596

There is no contest between the quality of Japanese made automotive parts and American made automotive parts. It took a couple of decades but they finally got an ass whipping in the car industry.

The parts your looking at on E-Bay are likely to be fakes.

https://www.opieoils.co.uk/f/100251/364 ... parts.aspx
this one from opie oils specs show 80lph for the 156bhp 3sge
https://www.opieoils.co.uk/f/100251/390 ... parts.aspx
this is the one for the 1993 3sge 175bhp mr2. surprisingly also 80lph

so the 100lph should be ok but do agree with Carl a knock off one would be false economy giving the PITA to change out. but its your call

The one in the link you've provided it could be fake too!

Personally I wouldn't buy it from him..! If you read properly then you would understand!

Anything is possible, however for starters your not purchasing it from E-Bay and that company has been going for over 10 years. That coupled with what actually got supplied I would say with some degree of certainty its not a fake. What always surprises me is how much cheaper the Americans get their automotive parts for.

FYI I tried to first get a fuel pump from Toyota. They laughed, had trouble finding the part number and then I think they just made up the price. Try getting quoted $1000 for a fuel pump that you couldn't buy anyway.

All their NGK platinum spark plugs they sell are the genuine item and are almost 1/4 of the price here so even with the freight charge, if you order 2 sets of plugs your still saving money and you get the second set of plugs for free.

Hi,

Absolutely nothing wrong with Ebay! I've been buying from Ebay for many Years! And I rarely had any problems, you can buy good parts for a lot less..as if you will buy in car shops or motor factors. Recently bought 90919-21536 GENUINE NEW TOYOTA MR2 TURBO 12/91>11/93 HT Lead for £50 so went to Toyota out of curiosity and asked for a price and £190 +vat and discontinued. Now that a bargain! Here eBay item number:113732330446

It's absolutely irrelevant how many years that company been in business..it still doesn't guarantee that they do not sold any fake parts, regardless if they know or don't . Ask them where they get that pumps from..directly from Denso or through someone else.

As well there are lots of fake NGK and Denso spark plusgs online and in the shops! Again ask them where they get them from? Directly from NGK or Denso..or they authorised distributors!

Hope this helps

Thanks
