Wheel change after damaging alloy
My mk3 2001 Yreg has 17 inch wheels. Have taken a chunk of alloy after kirbing the car. Is it ok to put on 15 inch wheels at front and 16 inch at the rear? Thanks

Yes, with the correct tyres it will be fine.
Yours would originally have come with 15's all round
Tyres: 185 x 55 x 15 Front. 205 x 50 x 15 Rear
Size: 15 x 6J front 15 x 6.5J rear
Later cars came with
15” Fronts - 185/55/15
16” Rears - 215/45/16
Don't know the width of the later wheels.

Re: Wheel change after damaging alloy
Thank you it's a massive relief. I have located a set of original mr2 rims with 15/16 inch set up.
