Unplugged connectors
Hi there, sorry if it's been asked before, I did a quick search but couldn't find the answer.
I just bought a REV2 MK2, and in the engine bay there are a couple of connectors that are just totally unplugged. What are these for?

Re: Unplugged connectors
Hi and congrats on the new car. I don't know what they're for but they're present (and unplugged) on my rev2 too so I wouldn't worry about them. I presumed they used the same loom for the turbo models and these were spare.

Re: Unplugged connectors
I think one is for an idle up valve if you have aircon ,

Re: Unplugged connectors
The single pin plug near the air vent is for the aircon compressor's magnetic clutch.
The two pin plug near the firewall would be for the aircon idle up.
If you've not got aircon it makes sense that both are unplugged.

Re: Unplugged connectors
Hi guys,
Thanks for the warm welcome
It doesn't have Aircon, so that makes perfect sense. Would it make sense to tape them up to avoid corrosion, or is that just unnecessary? Thanks very much for the info
I also have a slipping clutch, does anyone have a recommended mechanic near Hitchin, Herts?

Not Plan B again!! Why don't we just go with plan B in the first place?

I don't think you're far from Pacific Works, now known as Drift Limits. I went there a couple of times when I lived down south. I found that service varied depending who was working, but they did a good job on my cluth and cambelt.
