Wasting the time of major company personnel with vague concepts doesn't go down too well.

Something else to consider. If the aim is another attempt in June 2013, 9 months hence may seem a long time, but it's not for those who do not do it for a living and have other, perhaps more pressing, commitments. To give an example. I know that planning for the Highland Drive begins almost as soon as the previous event has finished. That's why it's such a successful event. But it still needs people to be committed to do the necessary legwork. All of them have busy lives which come first.

The sooner we can get a consensus about whether to go it alone or invite support from other clubs the better. If the answer to the latter is yes then whoever volunteers for the task of co-ordinator (or has the job foisted on them) will need to have good communication and negotiating skills. Getting autonomous organisations to work together can be a tough assignment.
Couldn't agree more, doesn't matter what is said here as long as the final plan is solid, well thought out and presented.

Me too Trev!

I can categorically state I'll not be doing the donkey work organising of it though due to personal upcoming commitments, but I'm more than happy to contribute (as last time) to the running of the event on the day if we are looking at next Summer.

Anyone got any further thoughts on this?

Count me in although my own personal life is CERTAINLY going to rule me out of the donkey work of organising

To be fair as years go by this type of event will be harder and harder to get the numbers needed due to the amount of cars getting broken plus written off etc. I think a mix of Toyotas is the way to go and I'm in if it happens. :th:
