Bit of a long shot, but would make an epic photo shoot and be great part of a meet. How about trying to organise a tour of the Toyota plant at Burnaston on the A38/A50? There is a member on here that definitely used to work there. No idea if it's possible or not - just a wacky idea I've just had!

Great idea
If it could be pulled off and be part of a run itinerary - the East Midlands epic road trip

Hello all
Are any of the ideas submitted so far being organised this side of Christmas or is the East Midlands chapter rolling them out in the New Year?

Looking at the new year now. With Christmas coming up, free time is short not to mention funds

I used to work there. I can try and make some enquiries if you like.
I know when I was there there was a bit of a waiting list to get a tour.
A few good restaurants around there as well also not too far from the donnington museum.

Not yet. I'll PM Lee and see if I can get some details of someone who works there, and then have a chat with Mark about some good roads and pubs for a bite to eat. Let's plan for early March if we can ...
