Appreciate all the info - after removing my current UK manifold yesterday and putting them side by side I can say there are actually noticeably more differences than it appears at first glance - with no chance of attempting to make it fit I will be starting again with the current manifold and probably eBaying the freshly polished import mani.

I think that's the best bet. At least it gives you plenty of practice polishing.
