17 in rears for Mk2

I have bought a set of wheels from Bob on this site, and am looking at tyres.
rears are 17 by 7.5. Ideally I want to keep the profile low ( for sprinting) so am thinking 225/35/17. I have seen Kuhmo KU39 and Hankook K120, anyone with experience of these, or other recommendations?
Fronts are 16 by 6.5 and should be easier.
Thanks

The normal rear tyre sizes to consider are 235/40/17, 245/40/17 or 245/40/17. 225/35/17 would be undersized. I would not undersize the rear without also undersizing the front too... but I guess you're doing that?
Blackcicles list a Yokohama S-drive which must be preferable to either Hankook or Kuhmo.

Good point re the Yokos, although th Hankook seem to be well reviewed, willfit a smaller profile to the front to match. Any experience of the yokos.?

I've got experience with two sets of Yokos, but neither is the S-drive I'm afraid. I once had a set of Parada Spec 2s which were decent in the dry but lethal in the wet. I currently have some AD08Rs which are excellent semi-slick road/track tyres. That doesn't help you much though

Just to confirm, I went with the Hankook . V12 EVO. £300 for 4 from Oponeo
205/45/16 front, 225/35/17 rear.
Initial impressions are good. Despite lower profile ride seems fine. On track this set up is over a second a lap faster than the Toyo's with more to come. Very slightly lower gearing helps. Slightly heavier steering which is fine, handling fine. Yet to try in the wet.
I also think they look good,

Update
Sprinted the car at Anglesey. Tyres grip well, no downside I can see.

Update, used in the wet in a sprint. Pretty Good wet grip, particularly braking.
