What air filter are you guys running on your turbos?

Factory Toyota air filter in the factory cold air airbox setup.
Cannot remember when exactly but about 10 years ago the factory filter changed from paper to the current material. Airflow is significantly better than it was.

I don't currently own the air box and not sure my piping would even work lol I currently have a hks mushroom filter but from all the reviews and videos I've watched has made me wanna change it lol.

I was lucky in that I bought mine 20 years ago before it got molested by a 12 year old.

Blitz SUS on mine.
Stock setup on a Turbo is restrictive, decent aftermarket is dyno proven to make a bit more power.
I'll look into it after I've sorted my sills out till then I'm screwed. Had skirts off enough to see that it's pretty bad.

Stock with a standard paper element will be fine if you have more pressing things to sort.

I've DIYed both NA and Turbo in the past and will be DIYing my Turbo reshell when the engine eventually goes in

I made my own, it was based around sealing the bottom of a woodsport snorkel and having all the air pulled through that.

Nice to see someone doing it properly, too often those snorkels are just for show and ruin engine bay airflow!

The original Toms snorkel was actually NOT connected directly to the air filter, although it was positioned directly underneath it to receive all the cold air.
