As the title would suggest, Christmas is nearly upon us.

I am proposing a Christmas night out with some food and drink and plenty of craic and slagging.

When: Friday 9th December from 5pm onwards
Where: City Hall
Why: Continental market is in town

I wouldn't worry about it Mark.

I think karting in Feb/Mar would be a good idea to get everyone together again after the winter break invariable means that a lot of don't take our 2s out as much.

Back to Friday night, where is the best place to meet up? shall we just arrange to meet at the German beer tent in the middle of the market?

I'll be meeting Spanky at 5pm for early drinking. My mobile is 07883 363316. We'll be around the City Hall.

Once again a disappointingly poor turnout. From a potential 10 we ended up with 2 (the two OC reps). A couple of 'old timers' joined us later on - Pigpen and Gwrinkle - and we also met a magical pixie at the bar

We had an excellent night but it is the same problem as other events this year. People put their names down and then dont bother to turn up or back out at the last minute. This has been the case at 3 events this year ... which makes arranging these things very frustrating

Sorry I didn't make it but the good news is I have my daughter back home and she is doing well :-)

Good news Ricky, I hope she is doing better for a good Christmas ... you and your family deserve it.

I would think it goes without saying that none of my mini rant above was directed at you as I know you would have been there had situation been different.
