Installing oil pressure and temp gauges

Hi I have a rev3 tubby, and was planning to install the sensors into the large grub screws near the oil filter. I was wondering if anyone knew the size of the Allen key/hex key to undo them so I can order one that fits to my socket

adapter
3/8BSP to 1/8BSP (jdm gauges) or 1/8npt (US gauges)

hex, i cant remember, but am sure its 8mm, i get most of my tools from ebay, but cant see it to confirm size, so i must have got it from halfords.

these are on dam tight, like seriously!
i had to use my leg and breaker bar to get one out!

Indeed they are damned tight Jim! They aren't any easier to get out with the engine on a stand either!

I was going to say 8mm too. Definitely want a good quality socket and breaker bar!

Whilst my car is at YVS I had Simon fit them using an airgun!

Sorry, I can't remember what size the hex is... I just picked the right bit out of the socket set. But they are certainly a job for a breaker bar / torque wrench. However, IIRC, I fitted both mine without even jacking up the car as a couple of extensions and a universal joint got past the rear wheel and allowed me to connect the torque wrench :th:
