Hope they make it a better show as if it wasnt for the iko there iant much else to do there! As a couple I am sure we will seriously think about going again this year as for the same money we could possible have a weeks holiday away somewhere for the total cost of a 3.5 day car show.

"We've listened to feedback about Thursday pricing, to make it fair to everyone we've raised the price by about ~28%" :laughing

Hopefully there will be some new activities to justify it!

Wow! So the pair of you can have a week's holiday for £90. Bargain!
Where did you have in mind?

Camping with elec hook up is usually around £15 a night for a decent site anyway with no car show attached to it :th:

Its the other bits that go with it to be honest Tony

2 lots of fuel
Food for 2 people
Drink and refreshments
Buying another tent
Spending money
Taking the weekend of work costs me money too
As well as 2 tickets to the show and with
IKO being the only major thing there to do

This would come in around £400 to £500 for the both of us for only 4 days for a little more we could go away on holiday which we really havent done as I have for the past 8 years always taken holiday to go to JAE. It was only 2 years ago and the same lenght show cost £25 irrc

You wouldn't use a tent solely for JAE surely? If you went somewhere else you would still have the same costs (fuel, food & drink, etc.). How the **** do you manage to spend £200-£250 each?

You should save up the pennies and do the Highland Drive in 2017. :D

Being part of another couple that come to JAE, I can see exactly where Dave is coming from.
The tent we use for JAE doesn't get used for anything else because if we are going to JAE then we aren't going camping anywhere else. Our last JAE was in 2014 and that one cost us around £550 for the entire weekend once everything was sorted out.

As Dave said, that's enough to go on holiday. I've looked into going to Scotland in April which would be about £600 or so, at one point I saw flights to Paris for £80 including return for both of us.
