First off, a huge thanks to Silverstone Race Circuit for making this an easy and incredible experience. I think I speak for us all when I say that each and every one of us had a cracking time. I for one, certainly learn't a lot about the car today :th:

Secondly, thanks to you guys for showing the interest and coming along :th: Great to see old and new faces :th: Shinny mate, gutted you couldn't make it

Anyhow, as you know, Erin was on camera duty and did us all proud. I have cherry picked through the 400+ photo's she took and here are the best of the bunch :th:

People

Great care is taken in shooting someone's foot. :laughing

Apparently having a pre-session snort improves your lap time... ;)

Crocodile Dundee drops by for a chat (word on the street is he has a mega BHP Holden).
Image

Energiser - I mean organiser - bunny looks slightly bemused about something that has caught his eye. Meanwhile his o/h casts her critical gaze over the parking line up.

Persil dude poses for publicity shot.
Image

Hmmm. Maybe I should have waited before selling my tubby...
Image

That spoiler is definitely Marmite.
Image

This was supposed to be an event for novices!!
Who let these two professionals in with their track slag?
:annoyed:

I never go anywhere without my bodyguard.

The lady from Silverstone wants to know why the signed contract for the commercial photoshoot hasn't been returned. Persil dude phones his agent to give him a b********g.

We own it. You drive it.

A big thank you from all of us. :th:

And finally

S2000 going

Going...

Gone!

I let him past on the pit straight but he was much slower than I expected through Copse and I never saw him again.

Nice write up Tony! And thanks for capturing my cheeky snort ;) My eyes in that picture a testament to the early start (& having not got in 'til 2:30am that morning).

Great pics everyone :th:

Neither Al or myself are professionals and thats Al's road car which is a completely standard rev2 turbo on standard suspension ;)

I'm no pro im just a bit nutty!! Lol

I'm gutted I didn't switch my video recorder on but I was scared of getting pulled into the pits as it was a window suction mount. Would have made a good video too as I would have got everyone on it :-(

Next time ;-)

/banter mode on.

;) ;) ;)

Your Honour. the evidence is circumstantial but the prosecution will say that it is compelling.

There are only two reasons why a car leaves on a trailer.
a) It has broken down.
b) it arrived that way too and the defendants are clearly not novices within the rules formulated by Silverstone circuit.

The prosecution will call 10 people who will confirm that the car was not broken. It will also produce a video clip which shows the first poster competing on a track. Therefore the second poster has the advantage of a passenger who is not a novice and can give continuous advice on braking distances, correct line through corners etc. etc. We therefore contend that, even if technically allowable, it is not within the spirit if the rules and that this car should have been running in an intermediate group session.

;) ;) ;)

/banter mode off.

Guilty as charged. You're not the only one!!

This trait appears to be a speciality of a certain part of the West Midlands region.

The sight in my rear view mirror exiting Maggots is proof enough!

Good save btw. :clapping:

If you weren't made to remove it in the pit lane how would they know you had switched it on? Otoh they remember us from the WRA as a well disciplined bunch. Would be a shame to lose that rep.

The car came on a trailer as I don't pay for fuel in the van so that saved us £20 in fuel ;)
The car was actually broken after the session. It was showing error code 52 which is knock sensor fault

In the eyes of MSA I am a novice driver which can be confirmed by my license and my novice sticker which is displayed on my car :D

I'm def not big headed enough to try and tell someone how to drive their own car on a track day :cheeky:

One more thing................ How much power has your car got again? :bleh:
