Lough Neagh run Sunday 21 July 2013

Thanks to all who came to the Antrim Coast run today. Hope no-one got food poisoning from the BBQ!

We haven't planned a route for Lough Neagh yet, cos we don't really know it that well! I know a bit from Toome round to Cookstown and a few roads around Lurgan. So if anyone can suggest any good roads let us (Ricky or me) know!

I've come up with a route which is untested! If we don't get time to try it out there will be a bit of playig it by ear on the day. Thinking of stopping at the harbour down past the Antrim Forum, maybe have a picnic there. Then a further stop at Ballyronan Marine. Anyy comments? Here is a rough timeline:

1200 - Meet at the car park at Fryer Tucks, just off the motorway at the Lurgan exit.
1230 - Depart to Antrim
1315 - Arrive at Antrim loughshore for picnic.
1400 - Depart for Ballyronan
1445 - Arrive at Ballyronan marina
1500 - Depart Ballyronan
1530 - Rejoin motorway & split for home

No its been in a deep slumber in a heated garage. Charged the batter today and she started on the second turn of the key. Took a while for her to hold idle on her own until the ecu relearned what to do. All good so just need insurance MOT and tax

I always go to Ards for MOT now. Easy to get to over the hills, less of a waiting list. Plus a got through last week with a 'cracked' headlight, that was actually smashed to pieces!

Lol. I've always been an Ards fan. She breezed through with no advisorys. All she needed for prep was a handbrake adjustment, a tail light bulb, a new wiper blade, fresh petrol and an oil change. Shes all ready to go now :)
