:confused1: recently fitted rev2 turbo into a rev4 shell and dont seem to get any boost iv fitted a boost guage and it is not giving any boost readings the turbo propeller shaft spins freely and you can hear it spouling up. also iv got a hight idle when warmed up its about 1500 rpm and the car is doing around 15 mpg  anyone have any ideas how i can solve this as at the moment its giving the same performance as the NA

Why don't you put pics up just encase, do you have a boost leak by any chance?

I don't think there's a boost leak as I would hear that I will try post pics of plumbing up tomoz to see if it's all in order cheers

I get about 15mpg as well lol

I meant is the rod on the waste gate?
What downpipe have you got fitted?
The wg not stuck open?

Stock cat doesn't have wastegate fouling issues.
One way to tell is if the exhaust is loud, if the wastegate is closed it muffles it, hence louder on boost.
Have a look underneath and see if the rod is connected.
Rev1&2 dislike any leaks, so it'd idle odd and if enough to boost leak to not feel any boost it would really bog down on throttle input and possibly stall.
What bov do you have? Is it recirculated? If so could be recirculating air.

I guess your turbo is whistling away on throttle demand?

yep turbo is very whistly lol an iv changed to stock recirc valve i did have atmospheric thing on but it bogged down loads through gear change. another issue is the cooling tower is gargling when its been for a drive iv had head gasket checket incase its letting microcarbons in the coolent but that is fine iv also changed thermo, guage stays how it should do you have any idea why it would gargle under pressure

I'd bleed the coolant sydtem and change the pressurr cap and see how it is.
Does the bov have its vtv?
You'd get little to no turbo noise if the wastegate was open fully, certainly would be laggy if any boost at all

vtv ? i do feel aslight bit of turbo but it soon runs out of puff and just dissapears recirc valve makes a little hiss on lift off which i think is normal, so do you think waistgate is working properly? is there any known cases where interclr has been blocked

If the intercooler was blocked it wouldn't run, if it was blocked cooling to the ic it would be a drop in torque on boost.
The vtv is the vacuum transmitting valve to operate the stock bov properly or else it doesn't really work.
Sounds like its not a wastegate issue

so where would you recomend to look first ?

Have you checked to make sure the turbine wheel is still connected to the turbo shaft?

If it's not making boost, it'll be one of the below:

Massive boost leak
Turbine wheel snapped off
Waste gate stuck open
Knock sensor blown (very doubtful)
Timing miles out (very doubtful)
