Is there anyone local to Edinburghish who would be prepared to compare a UK mk 2 with my import.Finding it a bit harsh suspension and wondering if uk model is any better.
Poss meet for chat/advice.

Suspension between imports and UK cars are pretty much the same, slight difference in turbo cars but that's just due to the extra weight.

You might want to have a look into refreshing the suspension, if it is the original suspension then it will have been on there for at least 20 years.
Polybushes, springs and dampers should be your first port of call.

1st thing is you need to check is if it is standard suspension. previous owner may have put tein lowering springs on which are very harsh. or you may have coilovers which are set to max or high damping which again makes then v harsh
