Dash bulbs

Post by jonofd3 » 12/02/18 21:51

Hi guys... just s quick question.
I've got the dash partly dismantled and thought I might as well change the bulbs to ledbeing they are almost out.
Now I've had a brain wave... has anyone tried the colour change sidelight bulbs in the dash instead of the usual wide angle bulbs?
Same fitment (although 10mm longer) light is projected sideways so shouldn't get any bright spots and you can dim, and change colour using a remote.

I doubt they'll fit in the speedo cluster, if that's what you're thinking. They look a fair chunk too long.

That's what I was thinking.... they are 10mm longer than a std bulb. Will have to have measure I think!

dont bother putting anything other than white in.

coloured bulbs/leds in the dash dont light up the needles or the mileage count up very well, if at all.

if you want the colour look, look at getting dials, or do as both shinny and i have done, and squeeze some clear coloured acrylic under the oem dial faces.
