I've got a mk2 Mr2 (1992) and I'm having a slight problem. After the HG blew I got a new engine installed. The engine was previously sat for about 10 years but it runs healthy.
Usually driving along letting off the throttle it jerks back and forth like it's about to stall. Sometimes it does this when throttle is applied.
Edit: Just like to point out its running an aftermarket short ram intake without a maf sensor
Recently had full service.

Re: Car runs rough
Did it have a full service befoe engine went in?
Was the timing checked as guessing the cambelt was changed at time of install?
Could be a number of things tbh

Re: Car runs rough
How does that work ? How does the ECU get info on the airflow without a MAF (or MAP) sensor
Black is not a colour ! .... Its the absence of colour

Re: Car runs rough
I think he meant temp sensor

Re: Car runs rough
I'm not mechanically minded but it could be the maf? It was the plug directly plugged into the air intake. The one installed on it before had a leak so I replaced it with another aftermarket one. Except this had no slot where I could plug it in.
Re: Car runs rough
No its not that mate. Cheers. I'm going to start with the idle control and update in a weeks time. Going for a sill repair right now.
