Suggestions for new wheels

Hey. I hope nobody minds me signing up just to ask a question. I figured here would have the most knowledgeable people as my friends seem to be, well, useless...

I want to get some new 16" or 17" white wheels for my MR2 (mk2 1999 white). Currently I just have the old original 15"s on but they're really starting to degrade. I have no idea what makes are good, what makes are bad. I'm looking to spend upto about £800 including tyres (if possible). I just don't know where to start.

Sorry for being a total newbie & many thanks to anyone that replies! :)

Read the sub forum in the "wheels and tyres section" under MK2 tech. Gives good advise in the stickys (at the top) and show cases folks wheels as below.
