where to put axle stands

basically decided to do a lot more jobs than time scaled aloud and my baby will have to go on axle stands for a few days maybe a week as i dont really trust my jack or sills where would i put axle stands but still allow me to be able to work on the suspension, brakes and control rods

I've put them on the inner sills, directly inboard of the scissor jack mounting points, where the A and B pillars meet the sills.

In that position, on 4 stands, the MR2 is pretty unstable, so, if you can, grab another pair, one underneath each crossmember (or use tyres, etc.). The problem is with rocking back and forth.

Best bet is 2 sets of car ramps pointing inwards to each other ,with a scaffold plank spanning them, at the front and rear of the sills

or put the axle stands on the chassis sections, not on the sills

I fit them on the front on the arb bush, on the rear on the subframe. Very stable
