Could my boost controller affect spool noise?

Post by Howlin_Mad »

I think my boost controller may have lost it's settings, well, that's what I'm thinking. It used to sound like any other vid I've seen on YouTube but after my recent electrical woes it now sounds quite different. When it spools up it now sounds like a jet engine, a really high pitched spool from about 2700 rpm, when before it would spool from 2900 rpm but with a much more aggressive sounding spool - like it was really boosting hard.

Any thoughts welcome :)

The ebc can effect spool Sound and time. Sounds like gain settings have changed

That's good to know. It does sound like the EVC had the gain up a bit and now it's back to stock because...

I turned the EVC off this morning and it was exactly the same.
