hi all, i am new to this forum, my partner has an mr2gt on a H reg, she came back to me yesterday with the car making a very large noise, jacked it up and its the drivers side front strut, the shock absorber centre has pushed through the cap that bolts the spring down, im in devon and i cannot find one for love nor money, it has 4 bolts holding the strut on, i have seen a couple on ebay but not sure if they are the same, most say mk1. more to the point i dont have an ebay account! does anyone know if they are the same as the normal mr2 mk2 and anywhere that is breaking one or where i can buy one new?

Don't forget the rev 1 and 2 are different giving more castor.

hi all, i dont think it is the top mount, its the top of the strut where the spring sits directly on to, thick metal plate that holds the spring down using the strut thread and a big nut. how it goes after that i have no idea as i cant take it apart until i get one to put it back together as i dont have any space in my garage!
madbasshunter, im in torquay so not too far away, id rather buy one off someone here local and give them my money rather than online
tommorow i will get it in my garage (somehow) and take it apart and put a picture up if thats easier?
