wideband AFR recommendations?

I've had mine a number of years, still works great, and on the original sensor still!

The sensors all tend to be the bosch item which has a running hours lifespan.
I've been looking into this, there is a recent thread of mine on here. And on Facebook.
The innovate and plx units seem to be favoured over the aem.

I'm going for an innovate tbh though the plx seems to do more

i have the innovate, no problems to report. be careful buying from ebay though as there were some fake ones around a while ago

As I understand it, the innovate are a controller box which outputs a 0-5V signal, then a separate gauge, so slightly more hassle to install as you need to find a home for a box, but probably better if you want a feed for ECU but no gauge. The AEM has it all built into the gauge, including a 0-5V out.

I have been running an AEM one in one of my celicas for a couple of years with no issues, and a VEMS one in another celica for near 6 years - the sensor has gone bad on this one though. The VEMS is slightly better in that you can plug in a laptop to configure the 0-5V out to simulate a narrowband but at a settable AFR.

As above, they generally all use the same bosch sensor which is normally the weak link on lifespan - normally only about £60 to replace though.

Also well worth a mention for a turbo car is the 'AEM UEGO FAILSAFE' which includes map sensing and allows you to program in a 'mixture profile' and provide a warning if it goes out of limits. This could be an engine saver as you will know instantly if you have a fuel problem taking you weak on boost.

I have a PLX devices unit with a dm-6 gauge. No problems here either, lovely piece of kit and cost around £130 as well

The 'box' is only about 3" long x 1.5" wide and 3/4" deep. It lives in the engine bay and the xd16 gauge I have is only 10-15mm deep meaning it can be surface mounted. The whole system can be daisy chained to incorporate other devices too.

Just had a look at this and this seems excellent Chris! Don't mind paying a bit extra for a boost gauge included as well, and the ability to data log and configure it to how I want via laptop.

Next question;

Where do I get a 52mm A pillar pod from?
