auto to manual gearbox conversion

Post by kayjay0_7 »

i am looking for a bit of help regarding an auto to manual gearbox conversion on my rev3 g-limited (ready for a V6 transplant)

so far i have managed to source most of the parts required for the gearbox change over

what i need to find out is if there is a difference between

1)uk spec and import spec ecu's
2)uk spec and import spec engine wiring harness and passenger footwell wiring harness

thanks for looking

The word on the forums is that the JDM ECU has different maps compared the UK ECU so that is something to look into.

Some looms are different but only slightly, you will find that some connections are different between imports and uk.

Could always do an Auto V6 conversion..... :whistling:

I can provide you with the mounts.. Only thing left is to alter the passenger side chassis rail and lift the passenger side engine mount bracket by 30mm.

If you're going manual then you will need the camry ecu anyway. Plus a manual loom to go with that as well.
