My HKS prevents boost spike/creep with an audible warning and boost cut to actuator pressure for x seconds and I get a live/peak boost reading on the LCD display. Also get low/high boost settings at the push of a button and a scramble mode too

Safc kiz, not avcr
The Safc is an air/fuel controller, a basic piggy back ecu if you like. It can be adjusted/mapped, to alter fuelling - best done on a dyno for obvious reasons.
They're not a bad piece of kit, but I dont think I'd bother. If you wanted a piggy back, the emanage is far superior

Just running a MBC on my Rev 2 Turbo and as much as I'm into electronics including design and build like the FCD combined 5psi boost controlled fan switch in mine, I would not bother with this or any form of EBC either.
With the right surrounding mods the stock ECU has maxed out the injectors anyway so sticking something on it is going to pretty much do nothing if your trying to run 15-17psi.
The stock ECU needs an FCD and a SLD and thats about it. Basically all the power gain on mine came from changing the stock CT26 to a hybrid CT26.
The S-AFC would also need dyno time or an AFR guage to help you set it up. It may help you even out your AFR but its not going to give you a noticable power increase on the road.
