As you haven't expressed a preference (dawn run/pub) I will assume you're an 'either'.
Unless you tell me otherwise.
Are there no limits to your weight saving antics?
You've got another 3 and a bit weeks.
To a man with your skillz that should easily be sufficient.
If not it will be 12 weeks before you get another opportunity.
No round in April as I will be the other end of the UK.
Let me know nearer to the date whether you're able to make this one.
If you're not living life on the edge, you're taking up too much room!

Under usual circumstances I’d say no issues, but barely lucky to get a couple of hours per weekend on it at the mo, wouldn’t like to rush things while im taking on relapping valves myself and not had much luck finding someone local to skim the head for me without want to charge the earth.TonyleFrog wrote: ↑21/02/18 16:07Are there no limits to your weight saving antics?

We now have two preferences for a dawn start so that's what we will go with. List updated.
Jim, some questions if I may.
Who have you tried for the head skimming?
What sort of money have you been quoted?
How much would you consider reasonable?
How far from you would you deem no longer 'local' ?
If you prefer, send me a PM re the above.

To the best of my recollection, it will be.

yes i saw the grey one about 3 weeks ago when i bought the mk3 off Patrick.
The engine was soooo shiny and new. The colour on the car looks amazing !
I couldnt afford to mod both my cars...but if i win the lottery, the supercharged v6 is what i'd do my Mk1 with uprated modern day brakes like the mk3.
@Andy - looking forward to seeing your V6 supercharged auto as well !!
Just hope we have some great weather

That was mint that roadster and cheap too.
Turbo roadsters are great fun as long as they can be kept reliable.
My old one was quick but gave me grief.
Hoping that the rotrex on the V6 is trouble free.
