perhaps there are potentially better fuel maps on a rev2 ecu after stock boost than rev1 ecus!
I guess that's a possibility Jim.

My afr doesn't do anything strange after stock boost. It just gets a little leaner, not anywhere near dangerously lean, but as expected really.

The first revision of the FCD I built had the fuel cut set at the highest point possible which is where the stock Rev 1/2 turbo pressure sensor output flatlines at 17.25psi.

Unfortunately even when your running at 15psi it did not work all the time as certain engine loads, throttle position and gear your in etc dramatically effect the way the turbo spools and I would still occasionally hit fuel cut. Really I had no choice but to change the design so the input to the ECU flatlines at below 4.2V as it was just to dangerous after an overtaking move on a club run saw me hit fuel cut while in the wrong lane.

To my knowledge the fuel cut level only changed between turbo revisions i.e it changed from the CT26 to the CT20b.

You have to remember that the boost gauge is not that accurate and the way Toyota bleeds off the actuator pressure is not that accurate either depending on the flow through the valve. The boost gauge cannot be used to "Tune" your car anyway you need a decent AFR gauge to be able to do that.

What is accurate however is the Turbo pressure sensor, these are an accurate nice and linear output device that can be used for all sorts of things in terms of a control sensor.
