behind seat sub box plans

Hi seen the plans on here to make a behind the seat sub box's for my mk2.
Does anybody have the plans and sizes for the box's that have the lip on the bottom that slots into the rear storage box's.
Do u just remove the lids and drop them in ?
How do u secure the box's without this lip though.

use the original boxes as a casing ?
