Can you get 245/40/17 on a 7j rim?

Trying to buy a set of wheels online but the guy says the rim widths arent stated anywhere, the tyres are 215/40/17 on the front and 245/40/17 on the rear, i assume these are likely to be staggered as 245's wouldnt fit on a 7j would it?
Need to decide tonight so need help asap!

225 is the max on a 7j rim.

Cheers Olly they must be 8's then, just to confuse things would the 215's fit on an 8j rim??

Yes, I've got 215s on my 8j fronts. Fit fine.

Ideally I'll get 225s on there next time round though.

Edit: 245s would need to go on a 9" rim really. They'll be very balloon-like on an 8" rim.

Possibly 8j all ound then, that's cool. I've seen a photo side on and the rears look about 3/4 of an inch wider, no way of telling if that's the wheel or just the wider tyre though..

they actually look spot on, on 8" rim and a tiny bit stretched on 9" IMO
