Confused!!
Hi all,
I'm new to the forum so go easy!
Basically bought my '96 MK2 Rev 3 (UK car) just over a week ago and I'm after some info on the HU wiring. The car doesn't have a HU (as the previous owner took it out  ) atm but I've got a Sony unit to go in (out of my old car) but I'm a bit confused as to how I'm supposed to wire it up as none of the plugs link up.
This is the plug that was in the car when I got it:
It also has the smaller, square white plug and the black plug which slots into the back of the HU.
I haven't a clue how to get it to connect to the Sony. The only thing I can think of is an adaptor but I don't know if I have active speakers or not. Also where do I get the cable that goes from the adaptor to the Sony?
Any help will be much appreciated!
Craig

Re: Confused!!
You will need an ISO adapter lead for a MK2 MR2. You plug this into the white plug which converts it into the right connection to plug your Sony HU into.
Well - that's what's in both of my MR2's anyway!
Is it an Import?
Do you have factory subwoofers?
You should be able to get the lead you require from any car audio specialist like Bass Junkies or CarAudioSecurity. (Do Halfords do them too???)

Re: Confused!!
Its not an import as its a UK car.
Its got a speaker behind each seat so I'm guessing that they're the factory subwoofers as its a completely standard car.
I've seen Halfords selling an ISO adaptor for it but at £25!
